December 2007: I had the great pivilege of meeting up with Tommy Steele in Sunderland, and I gave him a print of his portrait - he loved it and was, I am very pleased to say, impressed with it.

January 2008: I was pleased and privileged to get to meet the Rooneys' recently. As everyone knows Mickey Rooney is a Hollywood legend and at 87 is still very active. I wasn't able to chat with him at any length as he was dashing to get into costume but I did get to chat briefly with his lovely smiley wife Jan a little longer and she is very nice to chat to too.
