Meeting Mickey Rooney and family
I was pleased and privileged to get to meet the Rooneys' recently. As everyone knows Mickey Rooney is a Hollywood legend and at 87 is still very active. I wasn't able to chat with him at any length as he was dashing to get into costume but I did get to chat briefly with his lovely smiley wife Jan a little longer and she is very nice to chat to too. Their son Chris was able to chat with me much longer as he wasn't in the show and is their manager. Chris was very kind to me and again I thank him for his kindness. Prior to my meeting with them their manager, not Chris but Kevin, e-mailed me and told me (quote) "Mickey has indeed received your beautiful picture and it sits proudly in the dressing room." And in another e-mail I was told by him, Kevin, (quote) "He does like the picture and he is taking it home with him." As the photographs of the Rooneys' were all taken separately I have put them together myself for you to see and enjoy. It was a magical experience and a lifetime memory. Eysha  |
